English Lads has been around since 2004, and is one the longest running porn sites of its kind. As the name suggests this site is dedicated purely to English guys and promises us a huge range of guys, and a wide variety of films and photographs. So lets have a look at what these sexy guys are packing, and if the site delivers on its claims.
The site layout is nice and clean, with quite a straightforward feel. Navigation is clear with the scenes and browsing options clearly visible in a menu bar at the top. This menu contains all the links you need to view the models, movies and additional features, which I will come too later. At the time of this review (August 2018) there are 1385 scenes available, each with an accompanying photo set. Updates are being added three times per week, and are a mix of videos, photo sets and behind the scenes footage. The movies vary in length, but are longer than most sites, running from 20 – 40 minutes. The photo sets are also pretty big, some contain up to 250 pictures. There are a few little extras available such as wallpapers, some free images and a blog, although this appears to be no longer updated..
The owner of the site is a professional photographer, so as you would expect the photos are very high quality and the content is well filmed. As with any long running site, older content quality is not as good as the newer scenes. Most scenes are available to stream, but downloading is limited until you've been a member for more than 30 days. The basic streaming quality of the scenes is reasonable, but if you want better quality streaming or HD quality downloads, you need to have been a member more than 60 days. Some scenes also require an additional payment, which can be quite steep.
I always get put off by this kind of practice as memberships should include all content in my opinion. Being honest here, I think the complexity and limitations around the download options is a big negative on the site, and to complicate things further you do need to provide some personal details to become a premium member as well as agreeing to some pretty harsh terms and conditions. I understand the pressures on sites to prevent piracy and protect content, but there are better ways to do this.
So, what about the guys? Obviously the guys are 99% English lads, although there do appear to a few other nationalities who have traveled to the UK for filming. There is a nice range of guys from young smooth 20 something twinks, average guys, through to more muscular, hairy and generally athletic model type guys. Most of the guys are amateurs who just want to showcase themselves on the site, but you will recognise some of the models like Tom Lawson, Paddy O'Brian and Matt Hughes. The guys certainly pushed my buttons, and there are some stunning looking guys, amazing bodies and plenty of juicy uncut cocks on display.
In terms of the action, there is quite a variety to choose from. The bulk of the content tends to be focused around the models willingness to explore their sexuality, and how far they are willing to go. Its mostly a progression of this, with guys jerking off for the camera, moving on to something more adventurous like letting another guy fondle them and jerk them off. Ultimately we get to a “first time sex with a guy” scenario. Obviously this has all been done before, but I have to say there are some very hot scenes! On top of these scenes there is a good mix of good old fashioned fucking and a few light fetish scenes.
So what do I think about this site? On the surface it has a very enticing feel with great looking guys and very horny content. The owner is clearly passionate about the filming and has a very good eye for a hot guy! The scenes I watched were very erotic, and the whole straight guy going gay is always a turn on. However the complicated limitations and harsh terms and conditions around downloading and streaming content in the best quality does impact on the score. I understand the desire to protect the sites content from piracy but requesting personal details is in my opinion a step too far, and its almost like the customers are all perceived as potential pirates. The additional up-selling of content is also something I don’t like. Despite my criticisms this is a site with great content and you may be happy to work with the restrictions to get access to these hot guys. With the amount of content and the 3 updates a week, you certainly wouldn’t get tired of the site!
